In spite of the fact that representatives of the authorities persistently try to present that the students’ demands have been met, the facts show otherwise. One of the student demands is to punish all those who attack the participants of protests and blockades. New incidents and attacks are recorded every day, and the list of those who threaten the citizens who are protesting is getting longer and longer. Also, in addition to the declarative advocacy for dialogue, repression is secretly carried out against all those who support the students. Professors and employees who publicly support the protests are fired and transferred to worse jobs. Revenge is carried out quietly, at the bar, and the existential endangerment of citizens is aimed at discouraging further mass protests. However, the government’s tactics have not borne fruit even so far, and citizens are standing up en masse and standing with the students and their demands for the rule of law and a state that does not encourage and cultivate corruption. <\/p>\n\n
In the past two weeks, several incidents were recorded on the streets of cities throughout Serbia. Many cars passing through the crowd were recorded. Bricks and firecrackers were thrown at the participants of the protest in Belgrade. The dean of the Faculty of Philosophy in Ni\u0161 was physically attacked at the protest. <\/p>\n\n
During the observed period, the persecution of activists continued. It is part of the tactics of the ruling party and the pro-regime media, which try to present the protests as a conspiracy by non-governmental organizations and foreign powers against Serbia. Namely, the Directorate for the Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism requested from all banks in Serbia information on the accounts of five activists, referring to the Law on Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism, which represents the continuation of the misuse of this law for the purpose of confrontation with critics of the regime. <\/p>\n\n
